Karim is one of the most renowned industrial designers in the world and has designed for firms such as Alessi and Kenzo. He has over 300 awards to his name and has had a lasting impact on the societal view of design over the past 20 years.
Orla Kiely is one of the most famous alumni of the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. After leaving her role as a wallpaper and fabric designer in New York, Kiely worked in-house for fashion label Esprit, in London. Her talent and flair were impossible to miss, and it wasn’t long before her unique hat designs were picked up by Harrods, establishing her as a key player in UK fashion circles.
Fans of her clothing range include Kirsten Dunst, Lily Allen and Alexa Chung. Her insights and feedback would be invaluable to attendees.
Managing Director of RPW Design in East London, Ariane Steinbeck is a graduate of Cornell University in New York. Steinbeck has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, CNN as well as Bloomberg Asia TV, and is expected to feature as a judge at the Hyatt Student Prize in Cannes in December which recognises the upcoming talent in the hotel industry.
President of the British Institute of Interior Design, Daniel Hopwood earned his stripes as an architect. His career boasts collaborations with the finest architects in the industry, including the Hampshire Country Architects. More recently he has worked as the current Director of Continuing Professional Development, as well as a guest tutor at KLC School of Design, and a trend consultant for Dulux.
His wealth of experience and practical insight into the industry, are among the many reasons why Daniel Hopwood is a must see during this conference.
