Every artist is the sum of their experiences and influences: in our regular Spotlight section, we ask interesting artists to share with us their process and their inspiration.
I started making art at age 3 but I took my first painting class at age 5. I have now finished my painting studies and I have a degree in Graphic Design and 3D too. I’m currently self-employed.
Location has never had any influence in my career, people do. Also Adobe has a HUGE influence on my work. In my workflow I use 100% Adobe apps (mobile and desktop) and I LOVE them.
I would say that 90% of the time I use work digitally (Adobe mobile and desktop apps). To combine digital and traditional methods, for example, I work on a sketch using paper and, if I want to continue working with it, I can scan and open it in Adobe Photoshop Sketch, Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Illustrator Draw, Adobe Illustrator CC and I can finish my sketch using digital methods.
Currently I am working on improving my digital oil painting technique in Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Photoshop Sketch.
Think about your digital device like it is a simple canvas. There’s no difference between traditional and digital painting. Try to create something every day (even for 30 minutes). Learn about the traditional method of painting and implement the same method in your digital workflow.
